Aida

As a link between the past and the present, Aida plays the main role in embodying memories and reconstructing them through the portraits of relatives covering the walls of her home. I, her granddaughter, touch her memory as it fades, day after day and week after week. With the camera I try – not completely – to allow her to look back at the lessons of life.
The gaze that the project produces is different to that of the historian or anthropologist, but rather portrays private moments with Aida in her home in the village of Deir Hanna in the Galilee
